Movers workshop for the girls at Janani home, Colas nagar The Movers Programme is a regional movement of volunteers who develop Sustainable Development Goals - SDGs awareness, entrepreneurial mindsets and 21st-century skills by conducting localized training at a grassroots level. The Movers Programme uses a training-of-trainer approach and works with community partners to target harder-to-reach groups and support Youth Co:Lab’s objective to leave no youth behind. On 19.11.2022 Prime Trust organized a Movers workshop for the girls at Janani home. Mr. Sriram Sankar – Educational Development Associate, Project Statecraft handled the Story telling: Tell your own story session. The girls at Janani home involved with much interest. Prime Trust, in association with Jyothi Eye Care Hospital conducts a free Eye Screening Camp The eyes are among the most sensitive organs of the body and are considered to be one of the most important senses. Eye examinations check for the visual function for proximal vision as well as distance vision. On 18.11.2022 Prime Trust along with Jyothi eye care organized a free eye screening camp at the Sishubhavan play school, Muthialpet. Wide publicity was made to the local community about the opportunity. Eye screening was done on children, men and women. For further treatment such as cataract surgery and other ophthalmic issues they were referred to the Jyothi Eye Care Hospital. The medical team informed the community about the central government schemes available to the public. The local community was also informed about the special offers from the hospital extended through this camp. People of different ages were benefitted through the camp. The arrangements were made by Mrs. Mary Slessor - Program Manager, Mrs. Bhavani – Play school teacher and the Bachelors of (Hons) agriculture Interns from the Karunya institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore. About 90 individuals were benefitted through this camp.
