Global Giving’s September 2022 Little by Little campaign

Hello, friends of Prime Trust,   All these years, Prime Trust is raising support through Global Giving, an online fundraising platform that connects nonprofits, donors, and companies in nearly every country in the world. Many of you have contributed to the initiatives we have taken.    Since then, we have started multiple projects across Puducherry and Tamil Nadu, the neighboring district. We run a microcredit program that supports and helps the poor and downtrodden to alleviate poverty. We are running Four Evening Remedial Schools for the children of deprived Dalit, tribal, and fishing communities. The Home for the Abandoned Girl children supports 15 children by providing food, accommodation, education, health care, and vocational skills. The health awareness programs and health checkup camps are conducted for dental and ophthalmic issues. Our Vocational Tailoring Center offers job opportunities to women to earn a decent wage.     And this is where we need your help. We have the following projects on Global Giving that need expansion.     After feedback from multiple women in our self-help groups, we are listening to their voices to obtain and provide more funding opportunities for business ventures. By providing small grants or interest-free or low-interest loans to these women, we can empower them to become more self-reliant and financially stable. Your funds will cover costs such as rent, staff pay, learning materials (such as textbooks, charts, calculators, whiteboards, etc), and stationery items for the children. Many of these children do not have the funds necessary to have tuition classes outside of their regular school hours. This evening school will provide a structured learning period for small groups of children, assisted by permanent staff and international volunteers. [Project No. 24327]   The Home for the abandoned girl children is housed in a rented building. All our savings are utilized to pay the rent. Hence, we would like to own a building to provide a haven.
