Awareness session on HIV/AIDS for the children in Janani home
On 01.12.2022, World AIDS day an awareness session was conducted for the girls in Janani home by Mrs. Mary Slessor, Program Manager. The session started with a game. The participants were asked about what they knew about HIV/AIDS. The ways of transmission, how it is not transmitted, HIV test, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome was explained. It was a new subject to most of them. Hand bills on the HIV/AIDS Act, 2017 and facts and information about HIV/AIDS was given to the participants. The children responded with interest. It was a participatory session.
