On July 19, 2025, Prime Trust continued its journey of service by conducting yet another impactful medical camp — this time at Sisu Bhavan in Kottakuppam, Pondicherry. In an effort to support families and children who rarely get access to proper healthcare, Prime Educational and Social Trust, along with India Volunteer Care and the Akshaya Self Help Groups Confederation, organized a Free Medical Camp. This camp was part of a bigger dream: to make sure that no one is left behind when it comes to health, care, and dignity.
In communities like Kottakuppam, many families live on daily wages, and visiting a hospital or private clinic is something they simply cannot afford. Often, they delay going to a doctor until the condition becomes serious. That’s why camps like this are so important. They take healthcare directly to the people — right where they live. And not just basic checkups, but genuine care from kind and experienced professionals.
This one-day camp brought together medical teams from Vel Clinic, Titan Eye+, and Prime Trust, who volunteered their time and skills to serve the community. The camp offered free general health check-ups, eye examinations, consultations, and medical advice. Children, women, elderly people, and many daily wage workers came throughout the day to get checked. For some, it was their first time ever visiting a doctor.
What made the day truly special was not just the medical services — but the way people were treated. The doctors and volunteers spoke with patience, explained health problems in simple words, and comforted those who were worried. Children were gently encouraged to speak about how they felt, and elderly people were given the time and attention they often miss in crowded hospitals. It wasn’t rushed or mechanical — it was human, kind, and full of heart.
Many people who visited the camp shared that they had been ignoring symptoms for months because they didn’t have money or transport to go to a clinic. They were relieved to finally talk to a doctor. The medical team also gave them clear advice about what steps to take next, what medicine to use, and even how to take better care of their health through food and habits. More importantly, people were told that they are not alone — that if they face health problems in the future, Prime Trust and its partners will always be there to support them.
This camp is one small part of Prime Trust’s Health Outreach Program, which is committed to making healthcare more available to everyone — especially the poor, the elderly, children, and single women. In many villages and slum areas, Prime Trust continues to run similar medical camps and awareness drives, reaching hundreds of families each year. These efforts are possible only because of the strong partnerships between NGOs, healthcare centers, volunteers, and kind donors.
We are truly grateful to Vel Clinic, Titan Eye+, and every single volunteer who took time out of their day to serve others with such warmth and dedication. Your efforts touched many lives — some in ways you may never even know.
But the work doesn’t stop here. Prime Trust is currently part of the GlobalGiving Bonus Day Campaign, happening on July 16–17, 2025. This campaign gives you the opportunity to double the impact of your donation, as all contributions made during this time will be matched. This means that if you choose to support our work today, your help can go even further.
Your support can do so much — it can fund a medical kit, pay for a child’s check-up, help a mother get her vision tested, or even help an entire family stay healthy. But beyond the material things, your support sends a message: you are not forgotten, and you matter.
Together, we can continue to bring light and healing into the lives of those who have been living in darkness and silence. Let’s work toward a world where no one suffers because they cannot afford healthcare. Let’s make compassion visible through action.
If you feel moved by this story, we warmly invite you to donate, volunteer, or simply share our message. Every small act counts, and every caring heart makes a difference.
Let us be the reason someone smiles today. Let us be the hope someone holds on to.
Let’s heal, together.
