Prime Trust Founder and Managing Director Mr. S. M. Arasu visits Self Help groups at Ottankaduvetti village, Villupuram District

Ottankaduvetti is a small Village/hamlet in Kanai Block in Villupuram District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It comes under Mambazhapattu Panchayath. Visiting women's self-help groups (SHGs) in a village is of significant importance for various reasons, as it can have far-reaching positive impacts on both the individuals involved and the community as a whole. SHGs often focus on savings and microcredit activities. Visiting these groups can help promote financial inclusion by encouraging women to save money, access credit, and develop financial literacy skills, which can be crucial for their economic independence. It is an effective way to support women in their journey towards self-reliance and to contribute to the overall development of the village. On 09.09.2023 the Prime Trust Founder Mr.S.M. Arasu visited two women Self help groups in the Ottankaduvetti village. The founder interacted with the women about the activities done through Prime Trust for the welfare of the community and the microcredit provided to SHGs. Health camp has been planned to be conducted in the village after discussing with the community leaders. Starting a tuition center for the school children has also been proposed. The visit has enabled Prime Trust to establish rapport with the people in the village.
